Tripartite Strategic Cooperation of GAC Group, WeRide and On Time Mobility, purpose-built Robotaxis to be launched in 2022

On December 21, 2021, GAC Group, WeRide and On Time Mobility held the strategic cooperation and investment signing ceremony in the World Economic Forum of Future Automotive and Mobility Conference, announcing the success of strategic cooperation.

On December 21, 2021, GAC Group, WeRide and On Time Mobility held the strategic cooperation and investment signing ceremony in the World Economic Forum of Future Automotive and Mobility Conference, announcing the success of strategic cooperation. Meanwhile, GAC Group made strategic investment on WeRide, who in turn made strategic investment on On Time Mobility. The three parties will conduct in-depth cooperation based on their respective advantages, and jointly promote the design, research and development, massive production and commercial operation of Robotaxi models.

 

According to the strategic cooperation agreement, the third parties will push forward the upgrade of autonomous driving technology and vehicle research and development, and purpose-built fully autonomous Robotaxi and massive operation through GAC Group’s top vehicle research and development and scalable autonomous vehicle platform with redundancy systems, WeRide’s leading L4 autonomous driving technology, and On Time Mobility’s well-established and efficient intelligent mobility platform and massive data.

 

In the years to come, the three parties plan to build a Robotaxi fleet for commercial operation that will provide safe, affordable, and green autonomous driving mobility services to the public, and reach out nationwide based on the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It’s scheduled to launch on On Time Mobility Platform online Robotaxi operation, and provide autonomous driving mobility services to users in 2022.
