On August 25, 2021, Guangzhou Municipal Transportation Bureau, Guangzhou Municipal Industry and Information Technology Bureau and Guangzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau jointly issued the road test license of Guangzhou intelligent and connected vehicle for GAC L4 autonomous driving demonstration operation fleet. It marked that GAC has acquired 5 licenses in the form of scaled fleet after it got Guangzhou's first batch of road test licenses in 2019. GAC L4 autonomous driving demonstration operation team will then carry out autonomous driving demonstration operation in Panyu Motor Town. Besides, the fleet will leverage on the On Time Mobility platform to explore the commercial operation mode of autonomous driving.
