On November 3, the Chinese Society for Internal Combustion Engines, in conjunction with the academic annual conference, held the awarding ceremony of “Science and Technology Award”，“Outstanding Contribution Award” and “Shi Shaoxi Talent Award” in 2019. The project of “GAC Platform Technology Research and Product Development of Small-Displacement Gasoline Engines” won the first prize of “Science and Technology Award”, and Wu Jian, executive vice president of GAC R&D Center, won the “Outstanding Contribution Award”. The two top prizes of the Chinese Society for Internal Combustion Engines embody the industrial recognition for the great R&D strength of GAC in proprietary engine technology field.

As “hearts” of automobiles, engines are the top priority of vehicle development. For many years, the R&D of engine combustion system has always been a bottleneck for the progress in Chinese automobile engine technologies. GAC R&D Center innovatively develops gasoline engine combustion control system (GCCS) technology. It reconstructs combustion control policies by such visual means as high-speed photography and laser cylinder combustion diagnosis, realizing the high efficient combustion in the cylinder of gasoline engine and reaching the world advanced engine level.
