To Support Epidemic Prevention and Control, GAC Group Is Researching the Construction of Mask Production Line

GAC Group is actively researching the scheme on construction of equipment and production line used for mask processing and production, and discussing about mask production, so as to make efforts for the epidemic prevention and control.

At present, masks have become one of the most needed protection articles for nationwide epidemic prevention and control and the work resumption after the Spring Festival, but the productivity of masks nationwide is inadequate seriously. In that light, GAC Group is actively researching the scheme on construction of equipment and production line used for mask processing and production, and discussing about mask production, so as to make efforts for the epidemic prevention and control.

Currently, GAC Group is sparing no pains to conduct urgent resource mobilization demonstration and research, in order to implement the scheme as soon as possible. This work is pushed forward by the Components and Parts Business Department of GAC Group, with the main business of vehicle manufacturing not influenced at all.

On February 6, Zeng Qinghong, secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of GAC Group, in company with Li Jin, secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of GAC Component, and Gong Hanqing, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and general manager of GAC Component, made investigations and surveys at KYD, a manufacturer of mask production equipment in Dongguan, learning about the manufacturing, assembly and commissioning technologies of mask production equipment, and studying the technical feasibility of new construction of a mask production line.

With the view of grasping technologies related to molding and welding of protective mask production equipment, machinery and electrical engineering as well as production processes, the Technology Center of GAC Component dispatched several employees being party members to take part in a 15-day study program at KYD on February 7.
