On November 16, the 16th Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition officially kicked off. GAC’s seven vehicle brands made presence in “GAC Hall”, Hall 2.2, Pazhou Exhibition Center, including GAC Motor, GAC Honda, GAC Toyota, GAC FCA, GAC Mitsubishi, GAC New Energy and GAC Acura.
“GAC Hall” has an overall area of more than 8,000 square meters. As an important self-owned brand of GAC, Trumpchi brought four key technologies of “beauty, cleaning, innovation and driving” with the exhibition theme of “Embracing New Technologies”. In order to cater to the trend of intelligent and connected new energy vehicle, GAC successively signed strategic cooperation agreements with Huawei, Tencent, NIO, China Mobile, iFlytek, Cisco China, Didi, etc. The cooperation results have been gradually applied to Trumpchi products. All-New GS4, GS5 and GE3 530 launched this year are equipped with Tencent “AI in Car” system. Trumpchi Technology Demonstration Area was set up to showcase four technologies of “Beauty, Cleaning, Innovation and Driving” through simple and entertaining interactive game in real and virtual means. Audiences immersed in game could adequately experience enhanced mobility value brought by cutting edge technologies.
“Beauty, Cleaning, Innovation and Driving” respectively represent the latest research and development achievements in the field of intelligence and connectivity, styling, energy conversation and environmental protection and adaptive dynamic control technology.
Beauty: GAC Trumpchi showcased the visually striking wing-shaped “Aesthetic Emblem” for the first time. Combined with the abstract video language, the event showed GAC’s precipitation results of motor design aesthetics and exploration of future design trends.
Cleaning refers to energy conservation and environmental protection: Trumpchi 2.0TM engine, GAC’s proprietary third-generation all-aluminum direct-injection turbocharged engine was exhibited. The engine uses GAC GCCS combustion control technology, with thermal efficiency up to 39.4%, which is more energy-saving and environment friendly.
Innovation, i.e. intelligence and connectivity: In this event, Trumpchi showcased the all-new GXQ natural voice interactive system and driverless technology that can realize the full scene awakening free interaction. Besides, fun video and laser radar interaction experience were used so that audiences could intuitively experience Trumpchi’s leading intelligence technology.
Driving: In the experience area, in the dynamic control interactive experience game, participants could feel like a professional driver, enjoy a smooth and steady driving experience. With that, driver can be fully immersed in the car.

Speed up electrification, release of new energy models and second-generation pure electric exclusive platform
在In this event, all-new pure electric vehicle and a second-generation pure electric exclusive platform were released by GAC New Energy. The world’s first AI pure electric customized AION.S with ultra-long range was released. It’s the first model made on the second-generation exclusive platform, with a maximum range of more than 600km.

This year, sales of GAC New Energy grew rapidly, with a year-on-year growth of 3 times. Such new energy models as GE3 and GS4 PHEV were well received by the market. As GAC is speeding up electrification, it signed agreement with CATL in this July to establish joint venture to further deepen the industrial chain cooperation. It is expected that the first phase of GAC’s Industrial Park for Intelligent and Connected NEVs with an annual capacity of 200,000 units will be completed by the end of this year. From 2019 onward, GAC will launch one pure electric vehicle model every half year. It is estimated that by 2020, new energy vehicle products will account for 10% of the Group’s total vehicle production and sales.
